The CJR Group has been present in Portugal northern region with several vital interventions in the construction area. Believing that this participation in society should be correlative, the Group supported, this year, the Fire department of Guimarães (BVG), with the transference of an amount that, in part, allowed the acquisition of an ambulance.
For the Executive Board President, the business community must welcome these solidarity initiatives to promote the world's sustainability. "They are truly essential actions for civil society, so they are essential for companies. The Fire department institution saw an increase in the daily transport of patients due to the pandemic, which, of course, triggered an urgency in the expansion of its ambulance park. The city's business community was approached precisely in this context, and for the CJR Group, any other outcome, which did not result in support, would be unthinkable. We are part of society, and, in truth, we will never know for whom the next ambulance will be. So supporting the institutions is supporting us all." said Lourdes Freitas, Executive Board President, adding that "We are well aware that there is an umbilical relationship with the society in which we are in and that we must nurture this relationship. We have existed for fifty years, precisely because we believe in sharing, and surely we foresee the next fifty with this solidarity attitude."
The CJR Group assumes a syntactic commitment to society that annually envisages the objectives and strategic axes development of its Social Responsibility Program, supporting social projects and initiatives in national and international territory.
