Message from Chairman of the Board of Directors
Born in Mértola, in 1935, from an educated middle class family, whose economic resources did not allow a promising academic future for the six children, Mr. Cândido, along with his family, was forced to move and settle in Algarve's region, in a Silves dam. In there, every family member worked according to the needs and job offers available, without any choices. It was here that he developed his great interest for construction machinery.

 

These limitations created Cândido José's eagerness to seek new experiences and broaden horizons.

In order to improve his living conditions, he lived in several regions, eventually reaching the country's north. He settled in Porto and later in Guimarães, where we met (1968) and where we came to raise our family.

This fact completely changed his life path.

His natural ability for work and the capability to evaluate business opportunities led him to look for possible paths to settle here: to live in a beautiful region that pleased him and to explore the potential to grow as a builder of his own future.

There were many barriers to conquer and difficulties to overcome, in which unconditional mutual support was essential. Together we solve the many problems that have arisen for those who start from scratch and have only one certainty: TO GROW. This required rigor, persistence, a fighting spirit and a lot of hard work. This explains our motto: "Fight for Success".

Day by day, we exceed unsuccessful consequences or celebrated successful results that today are not that relevant, but at the time, they translated the certainty that the path, even arduous, was the correct one.

Although guided by the need to work, comply with the commitments assumed, respond correctly to creditors and employees, the family has always been the cornerstone of his life.

Together, we develop in our children the same spirit of entrepreneurship and sense of living.

We invested in its development as people, critical citizens and future managers of the company that, under his supervision, progressed. These two young people learned to value work, family and employees who contributed a lot with their dedication to company's growth, which represents the fulfilment of their parents' dream. As sons, we are pride of them, and it has been an honour to accompany them in their personal and professional experiences.

Today they are Engineers and Executive Board Members of the Company, responsible for it's management. They feel it as a daughter, because they have been involved since ever.

 The Great Creator accompanied us until 2014, when he, unexpectedly, left at the age of 79.

 "Fighting for Success" was his motto and reflects the way this family lives, while being respectable and respectful citizens. Respectable for the honourable and loyal way in which they live this company and respectful for the loyalty, affection and correctness with which they treat their employees of any department.

Currently, this "House" has a well-known name in the market, in any of the four continents. We are proud of the place we occupy in our own right. We know that this is not exclusive merit from management- alongside are our good Collaborators.
